Michael P. Rose, Chairman, CEO, and President of Metropolitan Capital Bancorp, Inc. (the "Holding Company"), Chairman and Managing Principal of Metropolitan Capital Investment Banc (the "Investment Bank"), and Chairman, CEO, and Trust Officer for Metropolitan Capital Bank & Trust (the "Bank"). He played a key role in the formation and development of Metropolitan Capital Bancorp, Inc., the Investment Bank’s Financial Holding Company, as well as its Bank, Investment Bank and Insurance Agency subsidiaries. Mr. Rose was formerly the CEO of the Illinois Housing Development Authority and was a founder and Principal at Lexecon Strategy Group. Mr. Rose received a B.S. in Economics with Highest Distinction from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, and maintains his State of Illinois bar membership. He also holds his series 7, 24, and 63 securities licenses. Mr. Rose is a member of the Chicago Club, serving on its Membership Commission, and a member of both the Arts Club of Chicago and the Economic Club of Chicago.
Frank P. Novel, Vice President and Director of the Holding Company, Principal and Director of the Investment Bank, and President, Director, and Trust Officer for the Bank. Mr. Novel was involved in the founding of the Holding Company, as well as its subsidiary Bank, Investment Bank, and Insurance Agency. Mr. Novel has more than 40 years of banking and regulatory experience between his six years as a bank examiner with the FDIC and positions as president of three different banks. Mr. Novel holds a B.S. in Economics from Purdue University, a graduate degree from the Rutgers University School of Banking and is a member of the Union League Club where he sits on the both the Finance and Art Committee. He is a Certified Treasury Professional® and holds his series 7, 24, and 63 securities licenses.
Phillip J. Wilson, Analyst for Metropolitan Capital Investment Banc and has been a team member since 2009. During his time with the company, Phillip has specialized in deal execution, valuation, and the creation of sales and marketing materials for clients and investors. Phillip holds a B.S. in Finance and Real Estate from University of South Carolina's Darla Moore School of Business. He is a registered representative of the firm holding his Series 7 and 63 securities licenses.
Scott A. Cohen, Private Capital Manager, held internships with both Morgan Stanley SmithBarney and Smurfit-Stone Container Corp. before joining the Metropolitan Capital team in July 2010. After three years with the firm, Scott moved to New York City where he joined the Client Advisory Team at Gerstein Fisher, a NY-based investment advisory firm. Scott spent over a year in New York before returning to Metropolitan Capital to help lead the firm's West Coast office. He currently works on both the Commercial Banking and Investment Banking teams at Metropolitan Capital. Scott graduated with a B.S. in Finance from the Farmer School of Business at Miami University in Ohio. He holds the Series 63 - State Securities License, Series 79 - Limited Representative Investment Banking License, and Series 82 - Private Securities Offerings License. He formally held the Series 65 - Registered Investment Advisor License. His interests outside of the Bank include golf, travel, skiing, and the St. Louis Cardinals.
