Metropolitan Capital Bank & Trust

Michael P. Rose is the Chairman & CEO of Metropolitan Capital. Prior to leading the foundation of Metropolitan Capital, Mr. Rose was a Principal in, and helped to found, the Lexecon Strategy Group, a strategic consulting firm established under Lexecon, an economic and litigation consulting firm created by a group of professors at the University of Chicago's Booth Graduate School of Business and School of Law. At the Lexecon Strategy Group, Mr. Rose led the firm's financial services practice and focused primarily upon the cross-selling of financial services. Prior to Lexecon, Mr. Rose was the Acting Executive Director (CEO) of the Illinois Housing Development Authority, having previously served as Staff Attorney, Legislative Liaison, General Counsel, Chief Development Officer and Deputy Executive Director. Mr. Rose received a B.S. in Economics with Highest Distinction from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and is admitted to practice law in Illinois. He holds Series 7 - General Securities Representative, Series 79 -Investment Banking, Series 24 - General Securities Principal, Series 82 - Private Securities Offerings, and Series 63 - Uniform State Broker-Dealer Agent licenses with Metropolitan Capital Investment Banc. He is also a member of the Chicago Club, serving on its Membership Commission, and a member of the Arts Club of Chicago and the Economic Club of Chicago.

Frank P. Novel, President, has more than 40 years of banking and regulatory experience. Prior to joining Metropolitan Capital Bank & Trust, Mr. Novel was Chief Operating Officer of Bridgeview Bank and spent six years as a bank examiner with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. He has been the past president of three different banks: the State Bank of Lombard, Security Bank of DuPage and Pan American Bank. He also held the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer at Edgemark Financial Corporation and Chief Operating Officer at Bridgeview Bank Group. Mr. Novel is a past director of the Lombard and Naperville Chambers of Commerce and a past member of their Rotary Clubs and he recently ended his duties as Treasurer of the Village of Winfield. He is currently a member of the Union League of Chicago serving on various committees. Mr. Novel holds a B.S. in Economics through Purdue University and a degree from the American Bankers Association Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Rutgers University.

Richard C. Keneman, Chief Lending Officer, has more than 40 years of banking industry experience. Previously he was the Chief Lending Officer, Bank Director and Chairman of the Loan Committee at Cole Taylor Bank where he developed their wealth management offering. At Metropolitan Capital Bank & Trust, Mr. Keneman has been the Senior Leader in Sales, Sales Management and Relationship Management. He is skilled in the areas of lending, relationship building, sales, general bank management and networking. He served as a Director and Member of the Board of Ambassadors of OMNI Youth Services and was a former Director of the Skokie Educational Foundation and currently serves as a Director of the Grant Park Orchestral Association. Mr. Keneman is a member of the Skokie Country Club, where he enjoys playing golf. He is a long-time resident of Winnetka where he lives with his wife, Ayn, a Professor at National Louis University, and his two daughters, Margaret and Ellie. Mr. Keneman earned his B.S. in Finance and Marketing from Florida State University.

Jerry L. Frump, Manager of Bank Operations, has more than 37 years of financial experience. He is responsible for both the Deposit and Loan Operations at the Bank. Mr. Frump is a member of the Compliance Committee and ALCO Committee. As the president of two different banks for a combined 16 years, he has extensive hands-on experience in all aspects of operations and lending. Prior to his positions as a bank president, he held numerous operational and lending management positions with three other banks. He also was the past president of his local Chamber of Commerce and Rotary Club. Mr. Frump is a Deacon and a Trustee of the Naperville Christian Church. He is an avid sports enthusiast and officiates both college football and high school basketball games. Mr. Frump, a Naperville resident, lives with his wife Patty, the Director of Women's Care Ministry at Naperville Christian Church. Mr. Frump received his Associates Degree from Illinois Commercial College.

Ellen Rogin, CPA, CFP, Director of Financial Planning, Marketing and Strategy, has more than 20 years experience in the financial services industry. She works with the Bank's employees in training and development. Mrs. Rogin presents educational workshops, seminars and programs to Metropolitan Capital Bank & Trust clients and prospective clients. She is also a member of the Bank's Board of Directors. She is Founder and President of Strategic Financial Designs Inc., a wealth management firm in Northfield, IL. Mrs. Rogin is a nationally-recognized expert in financial planning whose opinion is frequently quoted in various publications. She is also a presenter and published author of Great with Money: The Women's Guide to Prosperity, a book about transforming your relationship with money. Mrs. Rogin earned her B.A. in Economics from Newcomb College, Tulane University and received her MBA, with a concentration in Accounting from New York University.

Susan Payne joined Metropolitan Capital as Executive Vice President in July 2013. As EVP and Head of the Wealth Advisory practice, her primary focus will be to grow and expand MetCap's Wealth Advisory Platform. In addition, she also currently oversees Marketing and PR, and Strategy Development at MetCap. She also serves as a member of both the Human Capital and Investment Lending Committees. Prior to joining Metropolitan Capital, Susan was a Senior Executive with BMO Harris where her financial services career spanned over 24 years. In her previous role at BMO Harris, she held the position of Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer for Harris myCFO where she led strategic, operational and administrative initiatives. She has extensive experience in client relationship management, commercial real estate and corporate lending, special accounts management, and Investor Relations, as Head of BMO Financial Group's Investor Relations for over 6 years.
Susan is a Board and an Executive Committee Member for the Timeline Theatre Company, Board Member with Face the Future Foundation which supports the Craniofacial Center at the University of Illinois, and a member of the President's Circle for the Chicago Council on Global Affairs. Susan received her undergraduate degree from the University of Western Ontario (Canada), her MBA from McMaster University (Canada), and holds a CFP designation.

Brandon Molaski, Asset Operations Manager, has more than four years experience in the banking industry. Mr. Molaski is primarily focused on loan operations but is also the Assistant Compliance and CRA Officer for the Bank. Prior to joining Metropolitan Capital, Mr. Molaski held positions at Countrywide Home Loans, Finansure and National City Bank. He graduated from Western Michigan University with a B.A. of Business Administration in Finance.

Alexander B. Penning, Vice President, has been with the Metropolitan Capital since 2006 and leads the West Region office. He serves as the bank's team leader of relationship managers and analysts to structure and oversee complex financial solutions. He previously held positions at Unum Corporation and Jenner & Block LLP. Mr. Penning graduated from DePauw University where he received a B.A. in Economics.

Benjamin A. Neill, Asset Operations Manager, primarily focuses on loan operations for the Bank. Previously was an intern with the Cook County Public Defender's Office. Mr. Neill also held an internship within the Chambers of the Honorable William Bedsworth. Outside of Metropolitan Capital Bank & Trust, Mr. Neill enjoys golf, baseball, soccer, hiking, fishing and biking. He received a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Arizona and a J.D. from the John Marshall Law School.

Neil C. Solomon, Financial Reporting Manager, works within the Bank's loan operations and also assists with the accounting functions of the Bank. Previously he was an analyst at Quarry Point Partners. Outside of the Bank, Mr. Solomon enjoys running and cycling. Mr. Solomon graduated with a B.S. of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.

Phillip J. Wilson, Vice President, is currently a member of the Carolina Alumni Association Chicago Chapter as well as the University Club of Chicago. Mr. Wilson received a B.S. in Finance and Real Estate with a minor in Economics from the University of South Carolina.

Michael F. Finn, Sr. Treasury Solutions Manager, IT Manager, Assistant BSA Officer. Before joining the bank, he worked as a Graduate Assistant at Southern Illinois University and held an internship with the Accounting Department at the corporate headquarters for McDonalds. He enjoys the great outdoors and is an avid Chicago White Sox fan. Mr. Finn graduated from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale with a B.S. in Accounting and received his Masters in Accountancy from Southern Illinois University as well.

Jake Gantz, Asset Operations Manager, works in loan operations for Metropolitan Capital Bank & Trust. Previously, he was the Coordinator for the Communications Department at Equity Residential. Outside of Metropolitan Capital Bank & Trust, Mr. Gantz enjoys playing and watching sports and spending time with his family. He graduated from Emory University in Atlanta with a B.A. in Sociology.

Justyna M. Mrowka , Asset Operations Manager, works within the loan operations group at Metropolitan Capital Bank & Trust. Ms. Kucinska has four years of industry experience between her time as a Bank Teller with Bank of America and as a Financial Representative at First Bank in Mt. Prospect. She graduated cum laude from DePaul University with a B.S. in Economics.

Michael Peterlich, Private Capital Manager, was previously a Deposit Analyst Intern with State Farm Bank. Mr. Peterlich enjoys watching sports and also playing golf. He is a member of the International Honors Society Beta Gamma Sigma and graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in Finance from the Lumpkin School of Business at Eastern Illinois University.

Al Graetz, Private Capital Manager, previously interned with Mesirow Financial in their Global Markets division and at Legacy Professionals where he focused on compliance regulations for audit purposes. Mr. Graetz, who was born and raised in Melbourne, Australia, received his B.S. in Finance and Accounting from DePaul University where he attended college on a tennis scholarship and was an Academic All-American.

Alex Basto, Deposit Operation Manager, performs cash-involved transactions and assists with all aspects of deposits for the Bank. Before joining the Bank in 2011, Mr. Basto interned with the Wheaton Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Basto earned a Bachelor of Science degree in finance while graduating summa cum laude from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where he was awarded the Alexander B. Dusenbury Scholarship for his demonstration of leadership. He was also a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society.

Aneta M. Barton, Office Manager, has an exceptional facility for meeting organizational objectives and demands. Prior to joining Metropolitan Capital Bank & Trust, Ms. Barton coordinated numerous administrative functions for various industries leading them with strategies toward success. Ms. Barton holds a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Development and Leadership with a minor in Organizational Psychology from Loyola University Chicago, where she graduated cum laude and was a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and Alpha Sigma Lambda. Ms. Barton is currently a member of The Organizational Development Network of Chicago and holds other specialized training and certifications.

Eric J. Metzler, Private Capital Manager, was previously with WEL Companies in their Business Development group. Mr. Metzler enjoys traveling to new destinations and was a three-year captain of the Northwestern University varsity wrestling team. He graduated from Northwestern University with a B.S. in Learning and Organizational Change with a minor in Business and also holds an M.A. in Sports Administration. Mr. Metzler was a four-time Big Ten Academic All-American and is an active member of the Northwestern Alumni Association.

Thomas J Marzullo, Asset Operations Manager, works within the asset operations group at Metropolitan Capital Bank and Trust. He was previously a Loan Administration Representative and Teller with First Security Trust and Savings Bank in Elmwood Park. He enjoys spending time with his family, watching and playing sports and playing with his dog. Mr. Marzullo graduated from Benedictine University with a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing.

Adam Skeffington, Treasury Solutions Manager, was previously a Teller/Sales Associate with TCF Bank for more than two years. He also works the marketing/events team and assists with compliance and in the IT department for the Bank. Mr. Skeffington graduated from Northern Illinois University with a BS in history with a minor in political science. He enjoys all sports, continues to play ice hockey in his spare time and is a member of the NIU Alumni Association.

Scott A. Cohen, Private Capital Manager, held internships with both Morgan Stanley SmithBarney and Smurfit-Stone Container Corp. before joining the Metropolitan Capital team in July 2010. After three years with the firm, Scott moved to New York City where he joined the Client Advisory Team at Gerstein Fisher, a NY-based investment advisory firm. Scott spent over a year in New York before returning to Metropolitan Capital to help lead the firm's West Coast office. He currently works on both the Commercial Banking and Investment Banking teams at Metropolitan Capital. Scott graduated with a B.S. in Finance from the Farmer School of Business at Miami University in Ohio. He holds the Series 63 - State Securities License, Series 79 - Limited Representative Investment Banking License, and Series 82 - Private Securities Offerings License. He formally held the Series 65 - Registered Investment Advisor License. His interests outside of the Bank include golf, travel, skiing, and the St. Louis Cardinals.
